Faulkton, SD (May 8, 2023) – Farmers nationwide are looking for ways to optimize the efficiency of their grain harvest in the midst of growing labor shortages and harvest bottlenecks. A Walkabout Mother Bin (WMB) provides farmers a much needed solution to those problems and more. Because harvesting with a Mother Bin is a relatively new concept for North American farmers, Walkabout Mother Bins has launched a Mother Bin Rental Program, available year round, in specific areas of the United States, that will allow farmers to “try it out.”
Grain farmers in select states can rent a mother bin and benefit from the WMB’s inventive design, which provides over 4000 bushels of portable in-field storage. The WMB design is specifically intended to eliminate any bottlenecks that may occur during the harvest season, allowing for a smooth and stress-free process that maximizes profit margins. A Mother Bin also reduces the need for extra grain carts or trucks, leaving farmers with fewer drivers on the field and less people to manage.
The WMB sits at the edge of the field, where grain carts empty into it and trucks load out of it. This arrangement enables grain carts to offload entirely into the Mother Bin, so the combine can continue operating uninterrupted.
