WALKABOUT MOTHER BINS TO EXHIBIT AT 61st ANNUAL WIMMERA MACHINERY FIELD DAYS
Walkabout® MOTHER BINS has announced it will be one of 400 exhibitors at the 61st Annual Wimmera Machinery Field Days, Site #U6-7, March 4-6, 2025, at the Wimmera Events Centre at Longerenong near Horsham in western Victoria. The event is one of country Australia’s largest agricultural and agribusiness trade shows.
“It has been a passion of mine to make the best mother bin possible and bring it back to Australia,” said Dave Hedt, CEO/Founder of Walkabout® MOTHER BINS. Hedt was born and raised in Australia on a 6000 acre cereal farm where his family used mother bins to keep harvest profitable. Hedt moved to the United States in 2012 and observed American farmers struggling to find labor and run expensive equipment just as Australians had in the late 80’s. He created Walkabout® MOTHER BINS to create high quality mother bins and alleviate those problems.
Hedt is shaking up the grain farming industry with his retooled mother bin and making his company’s motto – to make the lives of their customers better – a reality. His company has developed two breakthrough mother bin models (a 110t and a 165t) that improve efficiency, productivity and safety during harvest season.
The Walkabout® MOTHER BIN 110t Eastern Grey will be on display at Field Days, where the latest developments in farming practice, machinery, equipment, technology and services are showcased.
Under Hedt’s leadership, Walkabout® MOTHER BINS has grown from a fledgling company to an industry leader, with farmers across the globe adopting the technology to boost harvest efficiency. Headquartered in Faulkton, South Dakota, Walkabout® MOTHER BINS focuses on quality constructed bins; providing an efficient, easy, and affordable harvest system that limits overhead and downtime for farmers.
